Youth Fitness Program
Twisted Kicks is an exclusive fitness program designed especially for teens. The program fuses yoga, dance, strength training, boxing and cardio conditioning for capital fruition. In this program, enrollees will identify with the posture necessary to make and sustain physical balance in everyday life and learning.
This summer (date TBA) on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm for six weeks, Center for Creative Arts fitness instructors will lead one-hour classes to 25 enrolled individuals ages 13 - 17. The program will include basic yoga poses, creative movements to stretch the body and promote healthy joints, focus mitt training for improved flexibility and coordination, trampoline training for conditioning, walking/jogging for overall toning and Zumba.
The Twisted Kicks project provides the opportunity to understand, explore, cultivate and implement the skills and techniques that support a commitment to being physically active throughout the lifespan.
